This seminar looks at anthropological perspectives on gender in the global economy. We shall examine gendered inequalities and exploitation in global capitalism, the circulation of hegemonic images of masculinities and femininities, the transnational mobility of women*, the commodification of reproductive labour and feminist and LGBT+ movements around the world. close
