Christian Lammert
Kommentar
In an Era when US-Government has taken on extraordinary policy responsibility, this class is particularly focused on how American Government and politics works. This class will open a series of comparable classes that will focus on specific aspects of US-American Politics and political problems. We will start the class by discussing some fundamentals of the US Political System (Governing, Constitutionalism, Separation of Powers, Political parties…) and thereby discussing the role of political science as well. In the second part of the class we will go deeper into some specific aspects of US politics and political science depending on the interests of the students. We might discuss specific recent problem in US politics or discuss essential texts and readings in American Politics.
