WiSe 13/14: Interfacing Ling. and Literature-T-Linguistics and Poetics
Andreas Mahler
Comments
The basis of all 'literature' is language. Without language there would be no texts. Quite literally, poets are first and foremost text-'makers' (poein = 'to make'). The tutorial will explore the basic textual levels, principles, conditions, and techniques that can linguistically be described in the text-making process, and it will try to make them operative in the description of individual texts, modes, genres, and discursive contexts. close
