This course aims to examine the Islamification and Turkification of Anatolia during the transformation period from the Ottoman Empire to the Turkish Republic. By examining the dark and ‘forgotten’ pages of the Ottoman-Turkish history, this course also analyses the complex relationship between ‘history’ and ‘national historiography’. Finally, the Ottoman-Turkish case will be compared with the German Holocaust-historiography and the confrontation of the German society with his national past. Milli Tarih Yazimlarini Karsilastirmak : Osmanli-Türk Tarihinin Karanlik Sayfalari ve Alman Holokost Tarih Yazimi Bu dersin amaci, Osmanli Imparatorlugu’ndan Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’ne dönüsüm sirasinda Anadolu’nun Islamlasmasi ve Türklesmesi incelenirken, Gayrimüslimlere yönelik devlet politikalari tartisilacaktir. Türk tarih yaziminin karanlikta biraktigi bu boyutlar ele alinirken, ‘milli tarih’ ve ‘tarih yazimi’ iliskisi de tartismaya açilacaktir. Ayrica, Alman toplumunun gecmisiyle yüzlesmesi ve Holokost tarih yazimi incelenerek Osmanli-Türk örnegi ile karsilastirilacaktir. close
