The seminar will revisit Turkey's EU candidacy as well as Turkey efforts to improve its relations with the Middle East in the context of its aspiration of becoming a regional power. A particular focus will be Turkey's reactions to the Arab Revolutions and subsequent regime changes, by examining Turkey's rise and fall in the region.
