Theoriegel. Forschen und Handeln: Brücke zw. Praxis u. Theorie (didactics, neuroscience; heterogeneity)
The first focus of "Theoriegeleitetes Forschen und Handeln" will be "brain matters". Discovering findings from research, esp. neuroscience, the participants can improve their understanding of the learning process, and discuss possible applications of the findings to the EFL-classroom. Thus, several topics will be covered, including amongst others emotions and learning, teenagers as demanding language learners, and ADHD. Secondly, the course will shed a light on heterogeneity, diversity, and differentiating instruction in the regular EFL-classroom.
Finally, the course will take into account major empirical findings on factors that influence learning (cf. J. Hattie), and provide information on Action Research as a useful tool for teachers.
