Canada was the first state who implemented an official policy of multiculturalism to cope with problems of ethnic identity, cultural diversity and political nationalism in Canada. This course will take a closer look at the content and dimensions of this policy and we will analyze the broader context of diversity in Canada, its political, social and economic foundations and consequences. Mayor topics will include: Policy of Multiculturalism, First Nations and Quebec Nationalism. close
