Comments
The content of my lectures entitle "Nanoparticles based Nanotechnology" is a result of my recent research and educational activities concerning the molecular behavior of condensed matter in small systems. It contains a special viewpoint of nano systems based on my prior experiences dealing with the study of matter, especially the magnetic, optic and electronics properties of those nanomaterials. Nanomaterials is a field that takes a materials science-based approach to nanotechnology. We will start with an overview treatment in nanotechnology with special emphasis on the history and early milestones. Then the fundamentals of nanotechnology for freshman or general public course, including the scaling laws for giving us intuition about the physical ramifications of miniaturization.
In this course we will provided the specific fundamental differences between macro scale and nanoscale phenomena. The materials specific properties of nanoobjectes such metals, semiconductor, magnetic and carbon based materials will be delivered in other series of lectures for master and PhD students.
I. An introduction to Nanotechnology
II. Metallic nanoparticles and nanostructures: synthesis characterization and application
III. Semiconductor nanomateraials: synthesis characterization and application
IV. Magnetic nanosystems: synthesis characterization and application
V. Carbon based nanomaterials: synthesis characterization and application
VI. Applications of nanomaterials in biomedicine
