Kirsten Jörgensen-Ullmann
Comments
This course aims to provide students with an introduction into European environmental and climate politics and policy. We will discuss theories on European integration and the way they explain the emergence of environmental and climate policy. Attention will be given to the institutional set up of the European Union and the actor constellations involved in policy-making. The course will refer to the environmental policy cycle exploring the influence of different actor groups on the initiation, agenda setting, decision-making and implementation of European environmental policy. We will focus on regulatory areas related to the environment, climate change and energy policy, look at problems, debates and decisions and compare political expectations and results. close
