Mary Ann Snyder-Körber
Comments
This course reviews the central precepts, forms and approaches to academic writing in literary and cultural studies. It main focus is on preparing and guiding students through the process of conceiving, researching, and drafting an original BA-thesis. After initial weekly meetings, the course will meet in presentation-focused block sessions.
As a guidebook to the down-and-dirty, not always to technically clean and easy, but ultimately creative and invigorating business of scholarly writing please purchase Umberto Eco's recently translated How to Write a Thesis (2015).
