Christian Lammert
Comments
This class is organized in sessions that cover the major US-American political institutions – the presidency, Congress – as well as core topics such as political parties, voting, elections, policy-making, public opinion and federalism. The course is designed as a general introduction to political science and the political system of the United States. The student will read texts and articles that have stood the test of time as well as more recent cutting-edge analysis to acquaint students with substantive, conceptual and methodological foundations they need to make sense of American politics today. In each session we will additionally discuss recent events in US politics and policy. close
