        This seminar aims to make students familiar with a broad range of writing and thinking about American cities developed in the closing decades of the twentieth century. We will read novels, short stories, and autobiographical works by authors such as Paul Auster, Sandra Cisneros, Vivian Gornick, and John Wideman.
