This course introduces students to the linguistic system of four minority Romance languages: Catalan, Occitan, Sardinian and Friulian. It covers the basic concepts in the study of the main aspects of the linguistic structure (phonology, morphology and syntax), as well as an introduction to dialectal variation and sociolinguistics related to each of the four languages.
