Kommentar
This course focuses on the anthropology of stigma and resistance and critically discusses sociological, medical and psychological concepts from transcultural perspectives. Current case studies on gender and sexualities, illness, ethnicity and marginality related stigmatization, and affected persons' and communities' strategies of coping and resisting are explored from integrative and applied anthropological viewpoints.
