This seminar provides an introduction to the empirical analysis of linguistic structures and functions at different levels of linguistic analysis, with particular emphasis on metaphor. Methodologically, the seminar will focus on corpus linguistics and related observational methods. It is complemented by a lecture course (Levels of Linguistic Analysis I: Structures and Functions) that provides the theoretical and psycho-linguistic background. Schließen
