Comments
About this seminar: The service sector in the USA: We analyze concepts, strategies and problems of the service sector. So in this course, the topic is examined in various ways; yet setting the focus on a sociological perspective. --- For this purpose, initially there will be a study of relevant theories of service and theories of consumption, e.g. market segmentation. Furthermore, it follows an analysis of specific service phenomena, e.g. workforce management or McDonaldization. In addition, appropriate practical examples, case studies and analyzes are discussed in the course. ---
A comprehensive, critical examination – including an outlook on future developments – forms the conclusion of this seminar.
