WiSe 16/17: Logistics and Urbanization Patterns
Boris Vormann
Comments
Technological innovation in transportation and communication have rendered possible new international divisions of labor. As such, the rise of global production networks has led to deindustrialization processes in the global cities of the United States and to new forms of political and economic organization. This course examines the repercussions of the logistics revolution of the 1970s on urbanization patterns today.
