This course Computer Networks deals with the interconnection of computer systems.
We will discuss the following topics:
- Basics: Protocols, services, models, standards, data access;
- Data access, data security
- Local networks: IEEE-Standards, Ethernet, Brides;
- Network layer: routing and forwarding, Internet protocols (IPv4, IPv6);
- Transport layer: service quality, flow and congestion conrol, TCP;
- Internet: TCP/IP protocol family;
- Applications: WWW, security services,
- Network management
- New Internet services
