WiSe 16/17: Perspektiven der Medienökologie

Wie der Themenschwerpunkt in einer aktuellen Ausgabe der Zeitschrift für Medienwissenschaft (Nr. 14, 1/2016) zeigt, ist die Medienökologie ein Forschungsfeld, das sich gegenwärtig im Fokus des medienwissenschaftlichen Interesses befindet. Ausgehend von einigen Texten aus der Zeitschrift für Medienwissenschaft soll dieses noch relativ junge Forschungsfeld weniger historisch als vom gegenwärtigen Stand der Dinge ausgehend erschlossen werden. Neben dem medienwissenschaftlichen Fokus spielt dabei insbesondere die Frage nach den filmwissenschaftlichen Konsequenzen medienökologischer Fragestellungen eine Rolle. Im Zentrum der Lektüre stehen u.a.: Matthew Fuller: Media Ecologies: Materialist Energies in Art and Technoculture (2005); Sean Cubitt: Ecomedia (2005); Stephen Rust, Salma Monani, Sean Cubitt (Hrsg.): Ecocinema.
