Comments
This research seminar is open to both advanced BA and MA students and researchers. It focuses on reviewing and discussing recent progress in the cognitive neuroscience of language. It has three main strands. 1) External speakers will set the stage for focused discussions. 2) In depth reviews of research publications will provide an insight into recent progress in language science. 3) Students working on their BA, MA and PhD thesis and researchers at the FU Berlin’s Brain Language Laboratory will present their own research plans and recent results - for discussion and to open future research perspectives. Presentations can be given in English or German.
Hot topics that may form the seminar’s foci in the new semester include the neural manifestations of linguistic-pragmatic knowledge and processing, computer models of language mechanisms in the human brain, the current debate about mirror neurons and embodied cognition, and recent progress in language therapy. close
