WiSe 17/18: Informationsstruktur im Kontrast: Italienisch, Französisch und Spanisch
Silvio Cruschina
Comments
This course will concentrate on those aspects of the grammar that are determined or influenced by information-structural conditions, it will then deal with the question of whether the information expressed is new, given or active in the discourse. These aspects, and especially those related to word order variation, will be discussed within a crosslinguistic perspective with a focus on Romance. The course has two main aims: first, to deliver an introduction to the theoretical and empirical considerations on the information structure; second, to provide the students with the methodological and technical tools necessary to both understand and carry out an analysis of a specific phenomenon in Italian, French or Spanish. close
