In the seminar „emerging exotic zoonoses“ (Entstehung neuartiger exotischer Zoonosen) we present and discuss various ways for pathogens to cross interspecies borders in the tropics. We will for example discuss zoonoses which originate from wild primates (e.g. retroviruses and Plasmodium falciparum), from bats (e.g. ebolavirus) and roodents (e.g. lassavirus and poxviruses). close
