WiSe 18/19: Principles of gene regulation

The seminar is about the different layers of gene regulation, including functional genomic elements (e.g. promoters and enhancers), DNA accessibility, transcription factors, epigenetic marks and the three-dimensional genome organization. The seminar will cover the underlying biology, experimental methods and the bioinformatics to analyze data from these experiments. The students will work themselves into selected topics from the field of gene regulation and give presentations.
