WiSe 18/19: Master's Colloquium Global History
Christoph Kalter
Comments
The Global History Master Colloquium offers students an opportunity to reflect on the process and organization of academic research and writing - not only with regard to the specific challenges of writing a thesis in global history, but concerning the actual process and challenges of completing a master's thesis. Depending on students’ interests the course can for example cover topics such as developing a research question, writing a research exposé, conducting archival research, structuring material, as well as working plans, time management, and tables of content. Regardless of which stage of the writing process students may find themselves in, each participant will be expected to present his/her project during the course of the semester, which will be discussed extensively by the seminar participants. close
