WiSe 19/20: New Media and Political Transformation in Central and Eastern Europe

This research-oriented seminar aims at giving an overview of the transformation of political communication in Central and Eastern Europe, with a special focus on the role of the internet-based information and communication technologies in this process. How, and with what political consequences, key actors in post-communist states (political elites, civil society, and journalists) have adopted the new media technologies? Participants will explore cases of the countries of their choice and produce explanatory videos about political and media transformation in these contexts. Schließen
