Students attend and participate in weekly seminars given by scientists who are using evolutionary bioinformatics and NGS to address ecological and evolutionary questions in ongoing projects. Most speakers are Master or Doctoral students, postdocs, and PIs at member institutes of the Center for Genomics in Biodiversity Research (BGBM, FU Biologie, IGB, IZW, Museum für Naturkunde, Universität Potsdam). Students are also required to prepare a seminar of their own for presentation at the end of the semester. close
