Students attend the conference lectures and do the assigned homework problems. To get credit for the course, students take an oral exam. Conversations with speakers and participants are strongly encouraged.

In Berlin in the winter semester 2019/2020 there will be a programme dedicated to algebraic geometry and organised in the context of the Berlin Mathematics Research Centre MATH+. The semester is devoted to interactions of algebraic geometry with other fields as well as applications with a potential impact from/on algebraic geometric methods.
The Fall School introduces the students to four current research themes in (computational) algebraic geometry.
