The seminar is aimed at bachelor students of history and cultural studies who wish to learn or deepen strategies for writing seminar papers and bachelor theses. The writing workshop focuses on the four main areas of the writing process of a scientific text: (1) At the beginning there is the development of a stringent concept, which enables an optimal focusing of the project and thus of the text to be written. (2) After the development of a clear topic structure, a solid work plan and a text structure become possible. The development of a logical and comprehensible structure represents the first step (3) into the actual writing process. This main topic focuses on the hurdles of correct citation and processing of scientific literature. The effective and successful writing and revision of a text requires a confident use of the language of science (4). We explore the depths of scientific style and develop tools for individual text revision. The participants work on their concrete project ideas so that the input can be directly implemented. The joint discussion of examples makes it possible, in addition to the one-off application to one's own project, to reflect on other project processes and to examine the transferability of basic principles. close
