Mathematical and logical thought is crucial for solving problems in computer science. Throughout the last years we mentioned some shortcomings in the first lectures in computer science. The prepatory course will focus on these shortcomings. The main areas are: basic set theory, relations and functions, logical basics, dealing with mathematical formulas, and the understanding of mathematical proofs.
