This course serves as an instroduction into academically relevant literature on the concept of the rule of law and it will look into the measures and procedures that the EU has at its hands to protect the rule of law. Students will discuss theoretical texts on the issue in the first weeks and then engage in a detailed policy and content analysis of relevant EU documents.
