Based on the analysis of global megatrends that are already shaping and will continue to shape our world, this course will focus on global challenges and how international and development cooperation are addressing them.
Among the most quoted mega-trends are digitalization, climate change, green innovations, urbanization, health, gender shift, migration, terrorism and security, and an emerging multi-polar world order with competing forms of international cooperation.
We shall analyse the agenda of global, supranational and national institutions, leading think tanks, international conferences, research networks, civil society actors, activists and influencers.
The seminar will shed light on a broad spectrum of political, scientific and grass-roots actors that conceptually and practically address issues related to global future scenarios.
Students will form working groups and jointly analyse megatrends and the emergence, continuity and change of discourses and strategies of international cooperation. Schließen
