WiSe 20/21: Online: Structural Injustice

This course will be taught completely online. Students seeking active participation will be expected to attend each class session, or submit a reading response paper in the event of an absence. Students will be expected to prepare for weekly discussions by reading the assigned texts and submitting a multi-media item as a potential topic for discussion into a shared folder each week. This course aims for students to understand the fundamental debates about what a social structure is and what makes a social structure unjust. The course literature will include essays in the philosophy of social science, feminist philosophy, and critical philosophy of race.
