The aim of this class is to further participants' knowledge and experience of qualitative methods. The focus will be on obeservation as a research method, however, other qualitative approaches (i.e. interviews, focus groups) will be covered as well. Participants will get to know different ways of doing observations, and they will conduct several observations themselves. Classes consist of practical exercices, reflections on participants' experiences, as well as discussions about important aspects of qualitative research such as research ethics, data protection, typical mistakes in implementing methods etc. Participants are expected to participate in an active way in exercices and discussions. close
