Mihai Varga
Comments
The seminar discusses international organisations and international political-economic arrangements with a focus on Bretton Woods institutions and in particular the World Bank, although students can choose to focus in exercises and term papers also on other organisations, from Frontex to UNCTAD. At the example of the World Bank advice to and involvement in post-communist Eurasia, the seminar encourages and supports students in developing novel and motivating ideas for research. Topics include: the Washington Consensus, knowledge production in the World Bank, “greening neoliberalism”, the pro-poor land reform agenda, and many more close
