Khanna Usoyan
Comments
Kurdish belongs to the north-western Iranian language, to the Indo-European language family. There is no standard classification for the divisions of Kurdish dialects. The majority of scholars agree that there are three main dialect groups. Kurmanji, which belongs to northern Kurdish, is spoken by Kurds in Turkey, Syria, Iraq, Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenia, the Ukraine, Russia, and in Iran. In Iran the majority of Kurds, nevertheless, speak central Kurdish, called Sorani. close
