Comments

Modern Political Economics is concerned with the interaction between political and economic systems. As in any other science, quite some analytical theories (theoretical as well as empirical) and methods do exist and can be distinguished. The basic feature of this seminar is to explain economic and political performances in an international context. We will develop a sound understanding of major theories, methodological foundations and simple models to explain and assess timely empirical phenomena. Empirical examples of international relations will be discussed in in a Putnam-setting with special focus on the European Union. The acquired knowledge can be employed to analyse and explain further problems in the field of political science and economics that students may encounter in the course of their studies. Please contact Prof. Bolle (bosch2@zedat.fu-berlin.de) before the start of the course. Syllabus and course outline are available on the website (http://jmc-berlin.org) of the Jean-Monnet Centre of Excellence for European Integration at FUB. close
