– An insight into the chemistry of biopolymers (classifications, structural properties and applications, examples, degradation, and biocompatibility)
– Synthesis of functional biopolymers for antimicrobial and antiviral applications
– Introduction to hydrogels
– preparation of biopolymer-based hydrogels (physical, chemical and enzymatic crosslinking approaches)
