Most of you will later work in administrations, companies, associations or political parties, many of you as speakers or supervisors. In this respect, it would be useful to get a better understanding of how these organisations "tick". This is also the subject of organisational sociology. The content of the seminar is therefore to deal with classical and more recent theories of organisational sociology and current problems of organisations on the basis of central primary texts. Decision theory, system theory and social constructivist approaches, concepts of micropolitics and neoinstitutionalism will be dealt with. It deals with problems of decision-making, the relationship between formality and informality, hierarchy and the problems of its dismantling, the sense and nonsense of useful illegality, dealing with the organisational environment and similar issues. The seminar will take place online or offline in consultation with you and depending on the number of participants.
