It is advisable to combine the reading course 14290 with the in-depth seminar 14289.
Comments
In this reading course, exemplary excerpts from various (Arabic and translated) novels will be read that deal with the topic of LGBTQIA* and gender. Enough room will be left for possible literature suggestions contributed by students, discussions on lagnuage and translation, as well as talks about the readings in the context of the main seminar.
Possible literature examples are: Nawal El Saadawi - The Fall of the Imam, Taha Ben Jelloun - The Sand Child, Hoda Barakat - The Stone of Laughter or Muhammad Abdelnabi - In the Spider's Room close
