Comments

Globally, school counseling is increasingly being recognized as important for children’s well-being. However, little research has been carried out among nations in the East where a majority of the world’s population is concentrated yet where school counseling has recently started gaining momentum. That is why the aim of this seminar will be to learn how to carry out a systematic review of the literature, specifically on school counseling in Asia, in order to identify resources, barriers and needs of this profession in that part of the world. Combining theory and practice to foster criticalresearch skills and autonomy, this seminar welcomes all students of the humanities, social and medical sciences, 4th Bachelor-semester or above, with an interest in school-based mental-health and cross-cultural psychology. While some previous experience with comprehensive reviews is preferred, participants will ultimately learn about current best practices of this important scientific method.
