SoSe 17: Introduction to Global Intellectual History
Michael Goebel Nadin Heé
Kommentar
This doctoral seminar provides an introduction to the intersection of global and intellectual history. It forms the core course for doctoral students and postdocs enrolled in the Graduate School Global Intellectual History. Co-taught by Profs. Andreas Eckert, Michael Goebel, Nadin Heé, and Margrit Pernau, it aims at familiarizing participants with some of the major historiographical trends in global and in intellectual history over the last decades, and to provide a platform for discussion of how to combine them. The seminar is divided into two large blocs, the first of which deals with approaches to intellectual history, such as the history of concepts, whereas the second bloc features case studies, such as the intellectual history of human rights. Each session is chaired by one of the four professors who co-teach the seminar. Schließen
