Comments
There are many possible ways to acquire information about foodways of prehistoric people. These include the analysis of animal bones and plant remains (what was eaten), pollen diagrams (land use and crop cultivation), the analysis of human bones (food deficits or excessive food), and more recently, stable isotope analysis (proportions of different food types in the diet). In this seminar, we will present the different methods of archaeobiology that can be used to investigate diet in the past, and explore and discuss the theme of food through case studies in presentations. close
