Learner-oriented teaching is an approach which focuses on the learners and their individual development. This class aims to explore selected aspects related to learner-oriented teaching and learning, including, among others, learner autonomy, diversity, and heterogeneity. Closely related to this, we will explore selected research methods currently used in foreign language teaching, learning, and research. These will include, among others, action and practitioner research. To conclude, we will look at the idea of learners as researchers of their own learning.
