Grundlagen der FD Englisch: Selbstorganisiertes Lernen (SOL) im Englischunterricht, Schwerpunkt ISS/GYM
"Grundlagen der Unterrichtsplanung – Selbstorganisiertes Lernen im Englischunterricht (SOL)" enlarges upon selected topics of the Grundkurs (“Introduction to TEFL”), and applies them to classroom practice. Issues such as dealing with heterogeneity and facilitating communicative competence are linked with teaching methods and techniques. The course also covers related practical topics such as lesson planning and classroom management skills.
The course will be held online (asnychronous) and is based on short assignments and feedback to other participants throughout the semester. Concrete regulations will be given in the first session. The topic of the “Hausarbeit” (requirements to be found in the style sheet) can either be taken from this course or from the “Grundkurs-TEFL”, the first constituent of the “Basismodul”. The paper is to be handed in after successful completion of both module constituents (“Grundkurs & Proseminar”).
Focus areas: SOL – definition; various teaching methods; arrangements; assessment; Literature: texts on blackboard/ internet.
Course structure: assignements plus feedback, lectures and discussions.
