SoSe 21: Regimes of Violence in Post-Socialist Countries

The goal of the course is to give a comparative analysis of regimes of violence and their forms in the Post-Soviet area. The course is subdivided into two parts. The first section gives an overview of the concept of violence, the second section is devoted to collective and political violence and its legacy. Special attention will be paid to Gulag, de-Stalinization process, and the social and political legacy of repressions. Schließen
