The Zoroastrian rituals have their origins in the Antiquity, likely in Achaemenid times. Some of these rituals continue being practiced today. The Zoroastrian ritual tradition is one of the longest of the world, but has got only very little attention. In this seminary we will get to know the main rituals and the main sources for the history of their performances from the Antiquity until today. We well use sourcfes from all periods (the Avestan texts and the Pahlavi ritual literature for the Antiquity and Late Antiquity; the liturgical manuscripts and the Persian Revayats for the Safavid period and Qajar periods and the modern descriptions and multimedia materials for the modern performances) Schließen
