SoSe 21: The Avesta in Sasanian and Early Islamic times
Alberto Cantera Glera
Kommentar
Rituals in Avestan language have been performed since Antiquity. In Sasanian times several royal attempts were made for the collection of the Avestan. In this seminary, we will compare the sources describing these efforts and try to evaluate their results. Special attention will be devoted to the critical lecture of the description of the so-called Great Avesta. in the Middle Persian literature from the 9th century. Schließen
