In hope to counteract the climate change of the Anthropocene, the Living Technology Project asks, to what extent biological organisms can be integrated into the development of carbon capture technologies.
Project site: www.livingtechnology.net
In cooperation with an interdisciplinary group of established experts in biology, physics and engineering, a blueprint for a carbon capture technology based on photosynthetic activity is to be developed. Participating students will work in the laboratory and design their own experiments, which will be discussed, processed and brought together in the colloquium of the course. Creativity and ingenuity is required here. The aim of this project is the development and publication of the blueprint for a biological carbon capture technology.
From the student side, we welcome a wide range of different expertise from the fields of natural science and engineering from the 3rd semester onwards. In an interdisciplinary exchange, disciplines such as physics, biology and mechanical engineering are to merge into one solution. Laboratory experience is welcomed.
Meetings will be held via Webex
