This class provides both a chronological and structural outline of the American Revolution. It aims at a) establishing basic knowledge on important issues in that period of time, b) at introducing students to recent scholarship on a variety of topics related to the American Revolution, and c) at underscoring the analytical value of Social and Cultural History approaches.
Requirements: active participation, assigned readings, term paper
