Comments

In a newly developed state of the art online catalog, the porcelain collection of the Prussian Palaces and Gardens Foundation will be scientifically investigated and recorded for the first time. The seminar will deal with selected objects in this collection and latest research in the field. After visiting the collections in Charlottenburg and Oranienburg as well as the collection’s depot in Potsdam, the students will describe the objects selected by themselves, research the iconography and iconology of decor and ornaments and classify them scientifically. The research results will be presented in class and summarized in a paper as well as in short written contribution to the online catalog. close
